Sophora flavescens
A bold mound of acacia like leaves topped with long spires of primrose yellow flowers make this plant an impressive site in the summer. Usually growing on it own or in very small groups this
member of the pea family can be found in mountain clearings and grassy banks. In the garden it is an excellent perennial plant for the border requiring very little maintenance and when not
flowering provides an attractive foil of healthy leaves for other plants.
