Route 141: Takane, Sutama, Akeno, Nirasaki
Route 141 was called the “Saku-okan” at the time warlord Takeda Shingen used it to invade the Saku region in Nagano. Few remnants of the old station town remain along the route from Nirasaki to
Sutama. Akeno town, located at the foot of Kayagatake, has the longest hours of sunshine in Japan and is known for its sunflowers during Summer.
Sutama town, with Mt. Mizugaki and Mt. Kinpu, hosts one of Japans’ most famous radium hot springs and gorges.
